外贸人,你的搜商够了吗? Is Your SQ High Enough?

在这个信息爆炸时代,我们每天都面临着海量信息,如何在海量信息中获得对自己有用的信息,是一个人的智力体现,而人们也赋予了这种能力一个新的名词——“搜商”。


“搜商”是指通过搜索技能解决问题的能力,是一种与智商、情商相并列的人类智力因素。特别作为一名外贸人员,网络基本可以帮我们解决95%的问题。


我们每天都在运用“搜商”解决问题。在网上搜索的时候,我们就能发现,对于同一个问题或者词语的搜索,不同的人能够搜出不同的信息。这就是“搜商”不同导致的结果。那么,怎样才能提高我们的“搜商”呢?

1、你首先要对自己要搜索的对象进行属性分析。

要查一个词的含义,我们会将其作为一个关键词输入在搜索引擎上,从而找出其对应的答案。但是同一个关键词可能会有多重含义,在网上搜索的结果也大相径庭,尤其在面对陌生词的时候,我们要懂得判断哪个才是我们所需要的结果。所以,在搜索前,我们要对自己搜索的目标先进行属性的分析,抽出关键的本质性的东西,再进行搜索。

2、增加关键词条件

如果我们输入的关键词找不到我们需要的信息,或者信息范围太大,我们难以筛选,我们可以为关键词增加条件以缩小搜索范围。


例如:假设我现在要搜索的是“空调”这类家用电器的品牌,我们可以先在搜索引擎上先用中文输入“空调”,网络上会弹出很多关于空调的信息,包括有卖空调的商城,为了缩小范围,我们可以在“空调”后面加上“品牌”两个字,就能缩小关键词的范围了。如果要搜索的是某个国家空调的品牌,例如日本,我们就可以在搜索引擎上输入“日本空调品牌”,然后再用英文搜索“Japan air-condition”。

3、通过搜索图片找到相关的信息

图片也是帮助我们搜索到目标信息的关键。当我们搜索产品品牌的时候,我们可以在网页上输入目标产品的名称,例如“日本空调”,然后点击图片搜索,就会弹出大量空调的图片,而图片上会有品牌的logo在产品上,我们再把图片上看到的logo输入到搜索栏处搜索,就能得知该品牌的信息。

4、转换关键词

如果一个关键词你搜索不到目标信息,你可以转换一个和原来关键词相关联的词去搜,从另外一个方面了解原本关键词的意思。通过不断变换关键词,你能够找到很多相关的目标信息。


例如你想要寻找有做空调的买家,你可以输入“air-condition”进行搜索,再将关键词改为“home appliance” 或者“Major Appliances”进行搜索,搜出来的结果都是不一样的。


除了注意关键词,搜索引擎也是影响搜索结果的关键之一,搜索不同范畴的对象用不同的搜索引擎,可以令搜索结果事半功倍。例如搜索问题类,中国新闻类的资料,可以用百度;国外消息,就用会当地的网站,例如俄罗斯的可以用YANDEX 等等。在此我就不一一列举了。


除了可以搜索一些词类之外,面对不懂的问题其实也可以直接打上搜索引擎去搜。例如想知道出口中东是否需要认证,可以打“沙特阿拉伯认证”,查到需要SASO 认证之后,再搜索SASO,看看介绍,可以确认搜索结果是否准确。


作为外贸人,搜索品牌,搜索客户,搜索联系方式等等的能力,其实都是我们“搜商”的体现,所以,提高搜索能力,就是在为你开发客户品牌做最好的铺垫。外贸人,你的搜商够了吗?


In this era of information explosion, every day we face with huge amounts of information. The intelligence is embodied by how to obtain useful information among a mass of information. People endow this ability a new name - "Search Quotient" (SQ).


SQ, one kind of human intelligence which is coordinate by IQ and EQ, refers to a skill that solve problems by searching. Especially as a foreign trader, basically, network can help us to solve 95% of problems.


Every day we use SQ to solve problems. When searching online, we can find that different information can be found for different people when searching the same questions or words. It is SQ that causes different results. So, how to improve our SQ?

1.Make attributive analysis on what we want to search.

To look up the meaning of a word, we will input a keyword in the search engine so as to find out the corresponding answer. There may be multiple meanings of one keyword so the search results differ greatly. Particularly, we should know which one is needed facing an unfamiliar word. Thus, before searching, make an attributive analysis on our search target to obtain essence, and then to search.

2. Add keywords condition

When inputting a keyword, if can't get information we need or the range is too large to filter, we can increase conditions for keywords to search.


For example, supposing I want to search the home appliance brands like "air-condition", firstly, we can input "air-condition" in Chinese in the search engine. Lots of information about the air conditioning will pop up including the shopping mall. For narrowing range, we can add a "brand" behind the "air-condition" to narrow the scope of the keywords. If what I want to search is an air-condition brand from one certain country such as Japan, we can input "日本空调品牌" on the search engine and then search "Japan air- condition" in English.

3. Find relevant information through searching images

Images play a key role on searching target information. When searching product brands, we can input the name of the target products on the website such as "air-condition", and then click on the image search, as a result, a lot of images of air conditioning will pop up with brand logo on the products. The brand information can be obtained when we search the logo we see on the images.

4.Change keywords

If can't get target information of a keyword, you can change a word associated with original keyword to search, and know the meaning of the original keyword from another aspect. By changing keywords, you can find many related target information.


To search buyers, we can input "air-condition" to search, and then change the keyword to "home appliance" or "Major Appliances" to search. Different results will appear.


Except for key words, search engine is one of the keys that affects the search results. Using different search engines to search for different categories of objects can get twofold results with half the effort. For example, to search for problem, Chinese news, we can use Baidu; for foreign news, we can use the local websites such as YANDEX of Russia and so on. Here, I will not list one by one.


Not only some words, but also can we search some problems on search engine. For example, what we want to know is whether the Middle East requires certification; hence, we can input "Saudi Arabia certification". If needed, search SASO again to confirm the accuracy of search result through the introduction.


As foreign traders, the ability of searching brands, customers and contacts and so on reflects our SQ. So, improving the search ability paves the development of customer brands. Foreign traders, is your SQ high enough?
